GreenFields XP field enters South Gwinnett Park

Last year the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners approved an $8.4 million contract for the redevelopment of South Gwinnett park. One of the big changes was the addition of a new synthetic turf field for football, soccer, and lacrosse.

Multiplex, the company responsible for the redevelopment, chose GreenFields USA to provide the new turf field due to competitive pricing and reliable products. “GreenFields was a pleasure to work with on our South Gwinnett Park project for Gwinnett County. The reason why we decided to use GreenFields was because of their outstanding customer relations and the high performance ratings of the product that they would be supplying”, says Marc Johnson of Multiplex, LLC. The new field will be one of the most striking improvements to the park.

The new turf field will consist of nearly 84,000 square feet of GreenFields XP50 product. The XP fiber is one of the most durable fibers in the turf market. This product will provide the flexibility needed for a multi-use field and will provide the toughness necessary for near constant use of the field.

“We are totally satisfied with GreenFields as a company and would continue to use and recommend them on any future and upcoming projects that we would be apart of; they are an outstanding company to work with and their product is by far a leading edge product in the industry” stated Johnson.
